PRESENTE CONTINUO

Yo estoy hablando. Y tú ¿qué estás hacienda ahora?

Respuestas: Estoy escuchando, estoy leyendo, etc.

Imagina que son las 6 por la mañana, ¿qué estás haciendo a esa hora?

Este modo verbal se llama presente progresivo, “Present Continuous” y lo usamos para hablar sobre una acción ahora mismo.

La estructura es el verbo “to be” + el verbo acabado en “ing”.

Estás en el trabajo y son las dos, ¿qué estás haciendo ahora?

Son las 3 del 25 de diciembre. ¿Qué estás haciendo ese día a esa hora?

La canción “Sailing” de Rod Stewart tiene ejemplos del presente progresivo.

Imagina que es tu día perfecto. Dime 3 cosas que estás haciendo. (Ejemplos: estoy conduciendo un Ferrari, estoy jugando con mis hijos, estoy comiendo en un restaurante fabuloso).

PRESENT CONTINUOUS

I am speaking. What are you doing now?

Answer: I am listening, I am reading, etc.

Imagine it is 6 o’clock in the morning. What are you doing?

Answer: I am sleeping

It is the present continuous, we use it to speak about an action now.

The structure is the verb to be + verb + ing.

You are at work, and it is 2 o’clock, what are you doing?

It is 3 o’clock on the 25th December. What are you doing?

Imagine it’s your perfect day. Tell me 3 things that you are doing. (Examples, I am driving a Ferrari, I am playing with my children, I am eating in a fabulous restaurant).
